Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Texas seeks CPI Investigator trainees to conduct field-based investigations and respond to reports of abuse or neglect. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in social/human/protective services preferred.
• Must have reliable vehicle and Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Determine causes of abuse/neglect and assess current or future risk.
• Collaborate with families to determine strengths, needs and actions to ensure safety.
• Document information and narratives in the required system within time frames.
• Develop and maintain relationships with families, CPS staff, law enforcement and courts.
• Attend trainings/meetings/staffings.
