Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Superintendent to assist the General/Senior Superintendent in overseeing field operations on construction projects. You will coordinate crews, review requirements, and ensure safety and quality meet project specifications.

Expect travel up to 100% of the time. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5–7 years in construction management and 1 project as Superintendent, with strong scheduling, cost control, and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 5–7 years in a construction management role and 1 project as a Superintendent.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures.
• Experience leading a diverse field team across crafts.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily field operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
• Monitor overall project progress and ensure quality and efficiency across teams.
• Support schedule and budget monitoring; coordinate recovery plans with subcontractors as needed.
• Read construction documents to determine requirements and plan procedures.
• Record data and produce reports on personnel, production, and status.
• Promote safety on site through inspections, training, and meetings with staff and subcontractors.
