Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc., a CRH company, seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for open pit mine operations in Memphis. Operate dozer, track hoe, loader and haul trucks safely; report issues to the Foreman and maintain a safe work environment per OSHA/MSHA standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of loader experience and must pass drug, background, and physical screenings; willingness to travel and work shifts including nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ loader operations experience.
• Minimum three years of experience operating equipment (e.g., Haul Truck, Bulldozer, Excavator).

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe procedures.
• Follow foreman directions for daily tasks and expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• This position requires up to 80% travel to various locations.
