Critical Connection, inc is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Hilo, Hawaii. The Hand Therapist will evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions, fabricate splints, and educate patients to regain function. This 26-week assignment offers 40 hours/week with day shift.

Ideal candidates hold OT licensure and prefer CHT certification, with 1–2 years in hand therapy; travel or local options available. Join a dedicated team focused on outcomes in outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in the state of practice.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred or eligible.
• 1–2 years of hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and rehab techniques.
• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities
• Educate patients on injury prevention and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
