American Traveler is seeking an experienced GI/Endo Technician for a busy hospital GI unit in Arlington, VA. The role requires proficiency in ERCP, EUS, EGD, and Colonoscopy with Epic EMR experience; VA or Compact license is needed for consideration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ERCP, EUS, EGD, and Colonoscopy required.
• National certification not required.
• License required if applicable.
• Active VA or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Epic EMR experience with documentation in past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy hospital GI/Endoscopy unit.
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• On-call responsibilities may apply with 30 mile/30 minute response requirement to campus.
• Floating may be required in rotation with client staff.
• Uses Epic EMR for charting.
• Perform advanced GI technologist duties supporting a high-volume endoscopy unit.
• Complete orientation modules up to 7 non-billable hours as part of 16-hour new hire orientation.
• Attend mandatory Epic training class unless previously worked at the facility within the past 6 months.
• Smoke and nicotine free facility.
• Expect to work some holidays with minimal RTO discretion.
• Previous staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
• Flu vaccination required during flu season unless exempt.
• COVID-19 vaccination or qualifying exemption required.
