Davey Resource Group, Inc. is hiring a UAM Field Technician 1 for on-site utility data collection in Grand Rapids, MI, with travel to Ohio. Entry-level role, training provided, requires high-school diploma and valid driver's license.

You will perform field audits, use GPS and handheld devices, and maintain safety and data standards. Expect to progress through learning tasks under supervision, collaborate with project managers, and meet weekly client targets while working in varied weather

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in basic office applications and data entry; willing to learn mapping software.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate clearly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR; must pass Davey Driver’s Safety Course.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a lone worker when required, with independence and self-sufficiency.
• Collaborate with a partner when needed to coordinate scheduling, hours, and locations.
• Meet weekly production targets to satisfy client timelines.
• Conduct field audits of utility infrastructure by visually inspecting and recording data.
• Use handheld computers, GPS units, cameras, and other field tech.
• Accurately record field observations and data integrity in GIS databases.
• Communicate with property owners and agencies to arrange access for work.
• Drive and maintain company vehicle in various terrains; travel up to 100% on-site.
• Read maps and navigate using GPS, maps, or compass in diverse weather.
• Identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Report issues to supervisors promptly and accurately.
• Travel 75%-100% for on-site duties; participate in trainings and other duties.
