Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Foreman/Tank Builder to lead field construction efforts for above-ground storage tanks nationwide. You will supervise on-site crews, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity on every project.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with willingness to learn and possibly weld.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and organization capabilities.
• Ability to solve problems and improve processes.
• Excellent attendance and reliability required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to field conditions.
• Welding ability is a plus for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide site supervision and on-site leadership for PTS construction projects.
• Serve as primary contact with customers, vendors and subcontractors on site.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Understand contract scope and identify field-initiated changes (change orders).
• Lead safety efforts and foster a safety culture on the jobsite.
• Ensure quality by minimizing rework and preventing sloppy work.
• Balance customer satisfaction with project profitability and manage field resources.
• Apply welding, structural erection, tank repair, and rigging knowledge to field tasks.
• Assist in recruiting field workers and mentor junior crew members.
• Maintain tooling and equipment, and call for replacement when needed.
