Nightwing is seeking a detail-oriented Travel and Expense Analyst to join our finance team in Sterling, VA. You will review, code, and process employee expense reports, ensure compliance with FTR and company policies, and support travelers with policy guidance.

The role emphasizes data analytics, creating dashboards and metrics with Power BI or similar tools, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and driving process improvements while collaborating with teams to deliver accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years travel and expense experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.
• Strong data analytics skills, including extracting, analyzing and interpreting data to support decisions and improvements.
• Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Software: Emburse (Chrome River), Concur, or similar platform.

Responsibilities

• Expense processing: review and code employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Policy compliance: ensure travel/expense activities follow FTR and company policies.
• Employee support: guide employees on travel and expense policies and reimbursements.
• Reporting: prepare and analyze travel/expense reports for cost-saving insights.
• Data analytics: create dashboards and metrics to tell a story and drive action.
• Travel coordination: ensure compliance with travel policies.
• Continuous improvement: identify and implement process improvements.
