Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. seeks a traveling Quality Assurance Technician to interpret design packages and ensure quality across electrical installations. The role emphasizes independence, strong organization, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold safety and reliability on job sites.

Ideally, candidates will be familiar with NEC/AHJ requirements, able to learn Gaylor’s software, and comfortable working in variable conditions. Per diem is included for travel assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and capable of working without direct supervision.
• Fosters a culture of quality and accountability at Gaylor.
• Reads and interprets design packages and job site specifications.
• Familiar with National Electrical Code and AHJ requirements.
• Must be computer literate and able to learn Gaylor’s operating software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain QC procedures for each stage of manufacturing/installation; conduct inspections and audits.
• Collect data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and accessible documentation for audits.
• Perform improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Collaborate with team members to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement corrective actions.
• Explain quality issues to installation teams and coordinate resolutions.
