Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an Electrical Quality Specialist to oversee QA/QC for heavy industrial construction projects in the southeastern U.S. This role spans field engineering, construction execution, startup, and warranty phases to ensure adherence to contract specs and codes.

The successful candidate will bring extensive electrical QA/QC experience in power generation, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel. Per diem may be available for qualifying assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical quality assurance, operations, and maintenance within the power generation industry.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant construction, operations, maintenance, and safety (NFPA, NEMA, OSHA, NEC).
• Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the United States.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance/Quality Control program oversight for all project phases.
• Conduct contractor audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure design document revisions are used and records are updated throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor field installation, testing, and documentation against drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and present QA/QC performance metrics to management and stakeholders.
