Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to understand and interpret design packages for projects and ensure compliance with job site specifications.

The role focuses on maintaining quality, safety, and reliability while supporting customer satisfaction and a competitive edge in the market. The ideal candidate will be independent, self-motivated, and possess strong organizational and communication skills, with experience reading design packages and knowledge of NEC/AHJ

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and capable of working without direct supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Reads and interprets design packages and job site specifications.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and AHJ requirements.
• Computer literate and able to learn Gaylor's operating software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and maintains quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Maintains quality control procedures for each stage of the manufacturing and/or installation process and conducts regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
• Collects data for identifying trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintains accurate records and ensures documentation is complete, organized, and accessible for audits.
• Performs improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, and reduce defects.
• Works closely with team members to address quality issues, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitors customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implements corrective actions.
• Collaborates with team members to address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Identifies potential risks to product quality and mitigates risk through collaborative problem solving and contingency plans.
• Participates in quality control meetings with project team and/or customer.
• Maintains Quality and Commissioning Schedules on the jobsite.
• Communicates and manages open observations with installation teams.
