Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with a minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma or teaching hospital epilepsy monitoring unit, including SEEG and SPECT experience.

The candidate should graduate from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program and hold BLS certification; R.EEGT preferred, with licensure as applicable. Pediatric experience is a plus and a telemetry exam is required before start.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a level 1 trauma and/or teaching hospital with SEEG and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit.
• Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
• BLS certification required.
• R.EEGT certification preferred; license required if applicable.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification.

Responsibilities

• Work in Level 1 trauma, teaching hospital setting within an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Settings include Adult ICU, Adult Inpatient, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, NICU, and PICU.
• Perform ECI Brain Death studies, electrode placement, long-term/video monitoring, portable recording, seizure studies and sleep deprived EEGs.
• Use Epic charting system for documentation.
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; some weekend coverage.
• Travelers may need to float as needed.
