Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EEG Technologist with R.EEGT certification and at least 1 year of experience for a day-shift outpatient assignment in Alaska.

The role involves performing EEGs, electrode placement, sleep-deprived studies, and evoked potentials, with documentation in NeuroWorkBench and Cerner.

Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility, hold AK license, and comply with vaccination policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience performing EEG studies required.
• BLS and R.EEGT certification required.
• AK state license required prior to start; compact license accepted at time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EEG department serving diverse patient ages.
• Average daily census of 4 patients with 4 visits per day.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Documentation completed using NeuroWorkBench and Cerner.
• Assist with EMG/nerve conduction studies.
• Perform electrode placement, sleep deprived EEG, sleep EEG, and evoked potentials.

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with R.EEGT certification and at least 1 year of experience performing EEG studies for a day-shift outpatient assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience performing EEG studies required
• BLS and R.EEGT certification required
• R.NCS.T certification preferred
• Dual certification in EEG/EMG preferred
• Candidates with R.EEGT certification and at least 1 year of Nerve Conduction Study experience will also be considered
• Epic charting experience preferred
• AK state license required prior to start; compact license accepted at time of submission
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers will be considered

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EEG department serving infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Average daily census of 4 patients with 4 visits per day
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Documentation completed using NeuroWorkBench and Cerner
• Assist with EMG/nerve conduction studies
• Perform electrode placement, sleep deprived EEG, sleep EEG, and evoked potentials
• In-clinic onboarding and orientation provided
• Annual and onsite training modules completed via HealthStream
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates not accepted
• Returning staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination compliance required per facility policy
