Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EEG Technologist for a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital in Wisconsin. The role requires 3+ years of SEEG and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit and features a day shift (4x10 hours), Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage.

Travelers may float as needed; no on-call requirements. BLS certification is required; R.EEGT certification is preferred, with licensure if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Epic charting system experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Neuro Diagnostics/EEG department within a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital.
  • Day shift, 4x10 hours, Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with some weekend coverage.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Travelers float as needed.
  • Epic EMR experience required.
  • Performs ECI brain death studies, electrode placement, long term/video monitoring, portable recording, seizure studies, and sleep deprived EEGs.
  • Works across adult ICU, adult inpatient/outpatient, ED, NICU, and PICU settings.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of recent experience with SEEG and SPECT monitoring in an epilepsy monitoring unit.

Requirements
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • R.EEGT certification preferred; license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience at a Level 1 trauma and/or teaching facility with SEEG (stereo) and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit within the last 2 years required if not R.EEGT certified
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Pediatric EEG experience preferred
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an overall passing score of 80% or higher
Responsibilities

  • Must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • First-time travelers will not be considered; prefers candidates with at least 3 years of EEG experience
