Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Fetal Echo Sonographer with ARDMS RDCS-FE and RDCS-PE certifications to perform fetal echocardiography at a pediatric medical center.

The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift (4x10 hours). You will use Samsung Hera W10 systems, collaborate with fetal radiologists and maternal-fetal medicine physicians, and assist with teaching fellows and staff. Local candidates within 50 miles are considered at local rates.

Qualifications

• ARDMS RDCS-FE and RDCS-PE certifications required.
• Associate's degree in a related field required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric echocardiography experience preferred, with fetal echo experience preferred.
• Travel assignment experience required.
• Valid state license required if applicable.
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Peds hospital setting performing fetal echocardiography exclusively.
• Full-time schedule, Mon–Fri, day shift (4x10 hours, 8:00–18:30).
• No call and no weekends required.
• Uses Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems.
• Epic charting system preferred.
• May float within the hospital to an additional campus.
• Perform fetal echocardiograms and prepare preliminary reports.
• Collaborate with fetal radiologists and maternal-fetal medicine physicians.
• Assist with teaching fellows, visitors, and new staff.

• May float within the hospital, potentially to an additional campus
• Perform fetal echocardiograms including obtaining patient history, acquiring diagnostic images using 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques, and differentiating artifacts from pathological findings
• Provide interpreting physicians with oral summaries of diagnostic findings and prepare preliminary written reports
• Collaborate with fetal radiologists, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, and surgical teams to provide diagnostic imaging and guidance during fetal procedures
• Assist with teaching fellows, visitors, and new departmental staff
• May participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease
• In-depth training provided for this role
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at local rates
• Previous employees at this facility are ineligible to apply within 1 year of their termination date
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
• Candidates will be required to complete an additional background check and fingerprinting onsite on their first day
