Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Fetal Echo Sonographer with ARDMS Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography certification to perform fetal echocardiography for a pediatric hospital's cardiology program.

The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Travel within the hospital system is possible; no call and no weekends are required. You will use Samsung Hera W10 systems and Epic charting where applicable.

Qualifications

• ARDMS PE and FE certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred.
• Associates degree required; bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fetal echocardiograms and obtain patient history.
• Analyze exam data and prepare preliminary reports.
• Collaborate with fetal radiologists and MFM physicians.
• May float within the hospital system.
• Assist with teaching fellows and staff.
• May participate in related clinical research.

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fetal echocardiography preferred

• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with 2D optimization and 3D manipulation ultrasound techniques

Responsibilities

• Pediatric cardiology department specializing in fetal echocardiography, not fetal ultrasound
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No call and no weekends required
• Uses Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems
• Epic charting system preferred
• May float within the hospital system, potentially to another campus
• Perform fetal echocardiograms, including obtaining patient history and providing physicians with oral summaries of diagnostic findings
• Analyze exam data and prepare preliminary written reports for physician review
• Collaborate with fetal radiologists, MFM physicians, and surgical teams during fetal surgical procedures
• Assist with teaching fellows, visitors, and new staff members
• May participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease
• In-depth training provided
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to local pay rates
• Previous employees of this facility are ineligible to apply within 1 year of their termination date
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 5 days total
• First-time travelers will be considered
