Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and ARDMS certification for work across fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital echocardiography. You will operate in NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU settings with 4 scanners, perform fetal to adult studies, and assist with ECMO procedures.

Shift is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no on-call requirements and holidays off; Philips equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Synapse are used.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric sonography experience.
• BLS and ARDMS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred.
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required.
• Experience with ECMO procedures, bedside ECMO weans, and catheter placement required.
• Fetal echo experience encouraged.
• Adult echo experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work across NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units with 4 scanners available.
• Perform echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography.
• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement.
• Uses Philips echo equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji CV Synapse.
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule.
• No on-call requirements.
• Closed on major holidays.
• Recognize and triage emergent situations.
• Provide written communication to cardiologists.
• Maintain equipment and complete logging and billing of procedures.
• 1-2 week facility orientation provided.
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required.
