Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in Utah. A minimum of 1 year of experience and RDCS-AE or RCS certification are required.

The role involves work in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Echo Lab with diverse settings including ICU and ED. Responsibilities include adult and pediatric echo, 3-D echo, TEE, contrast imaging, and treadmill stress echo using GE/Hitachi/Philips/Siemens/SonoSite/Toshiba/PACS equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer.
• Current BLS certification required.
• RDCS-AE or RCS certification required.
• Proficiency in pediatric echo, 3-D echo, and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE).
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Echo Lab within Radiology/Cardiology.
• Settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU.
• Perform adult echo, pediatric echo, 3-D echo, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, pharmacologic stress echo, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), and treadmill stress echo.
• Uses GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba, and PACS equipment.
• Charting system experience required (any system accepted).
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Variable weekend requirement based on facility needs.
• Potential to float within clinical scope as needed.
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate.
• Previous full-time employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers under any circumstances.
• Candidates with a pending Utah license will be considered but must have license in hand prior to start.
