American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Echo Technologist for a Non-Invasive Cardiology department.

The role requires RDCS or RCS certification, an active license if applicable, and comfort performing pediatric and neonatal echocardiograms using Epic EMR for charting. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams, preparing rooms, obtaining patient history, and ensuring high-quality images for physician review.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification is required.
• AHA certifications must not expire before start date.
• Active license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Non-Invasive Cardiology unit performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams.
• Candidates must be comfortable performing pediatric and neonatal echocardiograms.
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for diagnosis.
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history prior to exams.
• Review patient history, select appropriate protocols, and position patients for exams.
• Evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring high-quality images for physician review.
• Document and communicate patient information accurately, ensuring effective hand-off between shifts.
• Monitor equipment reliability and safety, report issues, and maintain supplies and work environment.
• Participate in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow.
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment.
