Job summary
Nucor Building Systems Texas in Terrell, TX, is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop, coordinate, and oversee design estimates for pre-engineered metal buildings. This role requires frequent travel, collaboration with district sales teams, builders, and design groups, and providing technical guidance to win profitable projects.
The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural engineering degree, PE license, and 4+ years in the industry; experience with design coordination and construction documents
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building industry.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including short-notice travel.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- Experience with metal buildings or structural steel is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee processes, procedures, and best practices that consistently produce competitive design solutions for estimates.
- Proactively engage with District Sales Managers, Builders, Estimating, and Design teams to identify project opportunities and support estimating processes.
- Support sales and profitability objectives by providing technical guidance and design solutions that create a competitive marketplace advantage.
- Collaborate across departments to develop safe, efficient, and economical project solutions considering costs and erection requirements.
- Travel is a significant and active component of this role.
