Job summary

ProAutomated is seeking curious, travel-loving problem-solvers to join our 2026 hiring pipeline. You’ll support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and lead startup and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment systems.

We invest in your development with four-week paid training, paid travel, per diem, and growth opportunities including merit raises and salary increases. This is a field-based role designed for those who thrive away from a desk.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical/automation engineering.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home on rotation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate on-site systems.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Typical travel rotations follow a days on - off schedule: 5 on - 2 off, 10 on – 4 off, or 14 on – 7 off.
