Job summary

ProAutomated in Illinois seeks a travel-heavy field service professional to support data center startups across North America. You will perform on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and partner with automation engineers to validate systems.

You will undergo a four-week paid training, earn a starting salary of 60,000–75,000 USD, and receive per diem meals, mileage reimbursement, and bonuses as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams on progress.
• Travel rotations follow 5 on–2 off, 10 on–4 off, or 14 on–7 off.
