Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a skilled Shop/Traveling Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will work independently in the field and in our Oklahoma City shop.

This role involves traveling across OK, TX, LA, KS and CO, using scan tools, testing equipment, and welding as needed. You will perform preventive maintenance, complex repairs, and accurate documentation while upholding DOT safety standards. Service truck provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Diagnose across diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Willingness to travel across multiple states; DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites to diagnose and repair diesel trucks.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of engines, electrical, hydraulics, and emissions.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Maintain service records and equipment inventory.
• Ensure safety and DOT compliance.
• Operate and care for service truck.
