Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a skilled Shop/Traveling Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks across Oklahoma and neighboring states. The role combines in-shop work with field service, requiring independent work and strong diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems, plus fabrication and welding as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty truck repair.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems (REQUIRED).
• Proven ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision.
• Fabrication and welding experience required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites to diagnose and repair diesel trucks and related equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, emissions, transmissions, and A/C.
• Utilize scan tools and diagnostic software to identify failures.
• Perform routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventative services.
• Maintain service documentation and communicate updates with management.
