Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a skilled Shop/Traveling Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty trucks. The role combines shop work in Oklahoma City with extensive field travel, requiring independent work and strong problem-solving abilities.

The candidate will diagnose diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems using advanced tools and complete repairs on the first attempt, while maintaining documentation and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably heavy-duty.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems (REQUIRED).
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states with DOT-compliant driving record.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and emissions components.
• Utilize scan tools and testing equipment to identify failures and complete repairs on first attempt.
• Maintain service documentation and communicate repair updates with management.
• Adhere to safety standards and DOT regulations; operate in varying weather conditions.
