Job summary

Actalent in Conyers, GA seeks a Travel Project Manager to lead construction projects, primarily data centers in the Southeast. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage multi-million dollar programs, and liaison with field teams, general contractors, and owners to deliver on time and on budget.

You will orchestrate scheduling, budgets, subcontracts, cost reporting, and safety compliance, travel as needed, and provide guidance to project crews while maintaining a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material management, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam software and Procore Management programs.
• Mechanical knowledge and project management expertise.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and consult with field project managers, general contractors, and owners to ensure project success.
• Manage pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling.
• Establish and maintain successful relationships with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
• Take ownership and accountability for projects under your direction.
• Solve complex problems related to project schedules and budgets.
• Review and approve project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors.
• Manage project finances, including profitability and cash flow.
• Provide indirect leadership to construction crews and resolve design conflicts.
• Lead strategic planning, project submittal, and change order processes.
• Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
