Job summary

Onward Search seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a travel-based opportunity supporting heavy industrial projects across multiple locations. The role emphasizes quality assurance, welding inspections, and code compliance in field settings.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of industrial construction experience, an active CWI certification, and strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, and API codes.

Qualifications

• Active CWI certification required.
• Minimum four years in industrial construction environments.
• Knowledge of ASME, AWS, API codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of piping, structural steel, welds, and coatings.
• Review welding procedures and qualifications for compliance.
• Coordinate NDT activities (UT, radiography, MT).
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and test records.
• Evaluate subcontractor capabilities to meet quality standards.
