Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. The position features 12-hour evening shifts, 36 hours per week, and a chance to impact cardiovascular patient care while enjoying旅 travel benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

The role requires CVOR experience, BLS, and preferred CST or equivalent certification. Start date is 10/19/2026, with competitive pay and full travel benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification preferred.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment for functionality.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and pass instruments to maintain flow.
• Handle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Collaborate with health team members to ensure seamless workflow.
• Maintain sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments per infection control standards.
• Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the procedure and surgeon.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures, including open/closed heart surgeries.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
• Adhere to safety, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
