Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers the chance to work with a dedicated clinical team, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits as you support cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, assisting during open and closed heart surgeries, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia staff to maximize patient safety.

Qualifications

• One year of recent CVOR surgical tech experience.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to procedures
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect equipment for functionality
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and pass instruments to maintain procedural flow
• Handle specimens with precision and follow institutional protocols to maintain diagnostic integrity
• Maintain sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment per infection control standards
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
