Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel CVOR Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Erie, PA. This role offers 40 hours per week, days shift, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. You will join a dedicated clinical team and support cardiovascular procedures in a travel capacity.

As a CVOR Surgical Technologist, you’ll prep the OR, maintain sterility, assist the surgical team, and ensure patient safety while delivering efficient procedural care throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification preferred.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment for proper functionality.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and pass instruments to maintain procedural flow.
• Handle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Collaborate with health team members to ensure seamless surgical workflow.
• Maintain sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Utilize data from surgical preference cards for procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular procedures including open/closed heart surgeries.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to safety protocols.
