Job summary
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. The assignment focuses on perioperative care for cardiac and thoracic procedures within a Level I trauma center, in a busy OR environment.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cardiovascular surgery, holds an Illinois RN license, and is prepared for on-site duties, 40 hours per week, and on-call requirements. Private housing or housing allowance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or in process; BLS certification.
- 3+ years in cardiovascular, thoracic, or vascular surgery; trauma center experience preferred.
- Experience with complex cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, TAVR, Aneurysm repair; Laparoscopic vascular procedures.
- On-call 1-2 nights weekly and every 5th weekend.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiovascular, thoracic, and endoscopic procedures.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including laser safety and universal protocol.
