Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a CVOR travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, IL. The RN will support cardiothoracic surgeries, perform circulating duties, and ensure sterile technique in a fast-paced OR. Requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS certification.

The role offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and benefits through TotalMed RN, with a tax-free stipend and 8-hour shifts. Travel and placement support provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• CVOR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care before, during and after surgery.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Maintain aseptic technique and operating room sterility.
• Coordinate OR equipment, supplies and specimen handling.
• Ensure patient safety and manage stress in a fast-paced setting.
