Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Slidell, LA. You’ll provide direct and indirect care during cardiovascular procedures and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient care pathways.

The role emphasizes open heart/CVT case support, sterile technique, and post-operative handoffs, with competitive pay and full benefits in a travel setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent CVOR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Prepare the CVOR for the patient and procedure.
• Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, implants, and ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists and team.
• Position patients safely and maintain sterile field throughout surgery.
• Provide post-surgical care coordination and handoff to recovery.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and regulatory standards.
