Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Santa Maria, California. The role requires 18 months of CT experience, ARRT CT certification, and ability to work independently or in a team.

The CT Tech will handle CT equipment, positioning, contrast administration, and image quality assurance, while adhering to safety standards. Travel benefits and housing options are provided through MedPro.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification required; licensure in the state preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans and ensure proper immobilization and safety.
• Set controls, monitor equipment, and adjust as needed during procedures.
• Assist radiologist with imaging, IV insertion, and contrast administration.
• Review CT images for quality and label them correctly.
• Schedule procedures and support clerical tasks related to imaging.
• Document charges to patient records and manage supplies as needed.
• Operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Deliver patient care in a professional, cost-efficient, and safe manner.
• Promote a safe work environment and adhere to patient safety standards.
