Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care radiology department. Requires ARRT (CT/Rad) certification, BLS, and AZ state radiology/CT licenses if applicable. The role performs both CT and diagnostic/general X-ray studies in a 2-scanner CT suite with Cerner EMR/PACS.

Night shifts, 32-36 hours weekly, no weekend or on-call requirements. In-house radiologist available; travel and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• Current ARRT CT/Rad certification and BLS required.
• AZ state license in radiology and CT if applicable.
• Crisis Protocol Approved certification required.
• Ability to perform CT and diagnostic/general X-ray studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform acute care CT studies and general ER outpatient CT scans.
• Operate Cerner EMR/PACS system; work with 2 CT scanners/rooms.
• No floating to other departments required; in-house radiologist available.
• Utilize Philips and Toshiba scanners as part of imaging duties.
• Adhere to facility dress code and orientation; complete 12 hours of orientation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current ARRT (CT/Rad) certification and BLS required
• AZ state license required in both radiology and CT (license required if applicable)
• Crisis Protocol Approved certification required
• Must be capable of performing both CT and diagnostic/general X-ray studies
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care Radiology - CT department with 2 scanners/rooms
• Performs general ER and outpatient CT studies
• No floating to other departments required
• Uses Cerner EMR/PACS system
• Equipment includes Philips and Toshiba scanners
• In-house radiologist available
• No IV starts required for this role
• Night shift schedule, Monday-Wednesday 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, Thursday 8:30 PM-9:00 PM or 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
• 32-36 hours per week
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• Perform CT imaging and diagnostic/general X-ray studies for ER and outpatient patients
• Teal scrubs provided per facility dress code
• Department-specific orientation provided, 12 hours
• Consideration requires 2 professional references - one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Radius rule requires permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility, as verified by driver's license
• Candidates who were directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility within the past year are not eligible; PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable
