Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist in Lamar, CO. The role requires ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications and a minimum of 3 years imaging experience. A current BLS certification and an ARRT Registry graduate status are required, along with an active state license if applicable.

You will operate CT and X-ray equipment, maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. Shifts are 4x10 hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with no on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience required.
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate with ARRT Registry.
• Active state license required if applicable.
• Ability to lift and move patients and maneuver equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
• Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment.
• Visual and hearing acuity to receive feedback from patients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-Ray examinations.
• 4x10 hour shifts, 10:00 AM-9:00 PM, Monday-Thursday.
• No call requirement.
• Perform CT and X-Ray examinations, evaluate films for proper exposure and positioning, schedule exams, instruct patients on exam preparation, and set up procedure rooms.
• Reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.
• Requires strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and provide quality, sensitive patient care.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to emergency situations, and make sound judgment calls.
