Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered CT Technologist for a weekend shift assignment in Colorado. ARRT(CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience are required.

You will perform X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, operate CT scanner, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure safety. This role includes OR coverage and weekend 3x12s schedule.

Qualifications

• Active state license if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of experience, 2 years preferred.
• ARRT(CT) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology training program.
• Must be able to move and lift patients and equipment with assistance.
• Manual dexterity to start an IV and verbal communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including OR coverage.
• Operates CT scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
• Positions and immobilizes patients using supportive devices per Radiologist protocols.
• Administers oral and/or IV contrast media as ordered.
• Enters scan parameters such as slice thickness and scan time into scanner computer.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via intercom and control room window.
• Weekend shift schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday 3x12s.
• Responsible for Quality Control within the CT area.
• Assists in performing special procedures and administering contrast media.
• Transports patients according to physical ability and exam requirements.
• Maintains records and cleans exam rooms following each procedure.
• Restocks linens and supplies as needed.
• Practices sterile technique and Universal Precautions.

• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred

• BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology training program
• Must be able to move and lift patients and equipment ranging from 40-250 lbs with assistance
• Manual dexterity required to start an IV
• Ability to verbally communicate with patients and respond to equipment alarms
