Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend position in Wisconsin. The role requires 2+ years of acute care CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification with a state license if applicable.

The position includes 10-hour day shifts on Fri–Sun 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, no on-call, and no floating. Benefits include medical coverage, 401(k), and access to online CEUs, with full support from a skilled imaging team.

Qualifications

  • ARRT CT certification and WI state license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care CT experience
  • Experience with strokes, brain CTAs, and comfortable working independently required

Responsibilities

  • 60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready facility
  • CT unit with 2 scanners sharing a back-to-back control room
  • Approximately 20 scans per shift per technologist
  • Patient population includes outpatient, ED, and inpatients, with Level II Trauma scans
  • Mostly adult patients, though toddlers and rare infants may be seen
  • Common procedures include stroke workups, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, and scans of the abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, and head, as well as pulmonary embolism studies
  • 10-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Standard 30 hours per week on a set schedule
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • Uses Epic EMR (preferred), McKesson PACS, and Pyxis medication dispensing
  • Equipment includes Canon 80-slice and 40-slice CT scanners
  • Support team includes 2 CT Techs during days and 1 CT Tech after 6:30 PM, plus an Imaging Patient Assistant, Concierge at the Imaging Desk, Radiology Nurse until 4:00 PM, in-house Phlebotomy, House Supervisor, and a Lead CT Technologist on-site during day shift
  • RT support available 24/7, along with MRI and X-ray coverage 24/7
  • Orientation includes NEO plus 3 days of unit-specific orientation
  • Will work holidays if they fall on a scheduled shift
  • RTO requests must be approved by the manager
  • Scrubs must be any solid, professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Unit culture described as fun and close-knit
  • No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Former Advocate Health employees or subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months to be eligible
