Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma center in Ohio. The role requires 1+ year of CT experience and hands-on Siemens equipment proficiency.

You will perform CT procedures across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and MSK imaging with/without contrast, while maintaining patient safety and high-quality records. Shifts are 3x12 hours at night (19:00-07:30) with every 3rd weekend adjusted; call rotation every 10 weeks with a 1-hour response target.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications
• ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• License if applicable
• Level I/II trauma experience preferred
• Imaging in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest with/without contrast
• Contrast media prep/administration and radiation safety
• Peripheral IV starts/venipuncture preferred
• MRP experience preferred
• Ohio BCI & FBI background checks upon offer
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• RTO submission with contract (≤7 days)
• Two professional references (one manager/director)
• Former employees eligible for travel after 6 months
• Current employees ineligible to be travelers here
• Education must be from ACEN/CCNE accredited program

Responsibilities

• Work in Level I trauma center and stroke-accredited facility
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate patient records per regulatory standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergencies
• Operate Siemens CT equipment
• Manage patient throughput with typical 1:2 ratio
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols
• Complete required background and certifications on acceptance

• Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with peripheral IV starts and venipuncture preferred
• Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Level I trauma center, Stroke Accredited facility serving a diverse community
• Work settings include ER, outpatient, operating room, community hospital, and adult ICU
• Performs CT procedures including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion imaging
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00-7:30, with every 3rd weekend shift adjusted to 2:30p-3a Sat/Sun
• Call rotation required one day every 10 weeks, with availability to respond within one hour
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during CT procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent situations
• Candidates must complete Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer, including lifetime background checks
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at this facility
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers may be considered
