American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Alaska. The role requires ARRT (R)(CT) certification and 2+ years post-graduation radiology experience. You will perform CT imaging across ages, using Siemens and Fuji scanners, including CTA studies.

The position supports department operations with a focus on quality patient care. Housing is provided in male or female units; travel reimbursements and orientation are included.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduation radiology experience preferred.
• Graduate of accredited Radiology Technologist program with CT training preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 26-week assignment requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and 2+ years of post-graduation experience.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Current ARRT (R)(CT) certification or equivalent required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with dedicated CT training preferred
• Must provide documentation of required immunizations including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR, and T-Dap Polio, or titers/historical shot records
• Required documents include photo ID, SSN card, professional license/certification, education or transcripts, background check results, 10-panel drug screen within last 90 days, competency testing checklist, and 3 references

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations on patients of all ages, from newborn through geriatric
• Shift schedule varies
• Utilizes radiography and computed tomography equipment, with Siemens and Fuji experience preferred
• Ability to perform CT angiography studies including PE chest, CTA head, CTA neck, and CTA abdomen with lower extremity run off preferred
• Contributes to efficient department operations and ensures quality, continuous patient care
• May perform receptionist/clerk duties or other department tasks as needed
• Shared housing provided in male or female-only units with private bedrooms and shared common spaces
• Pets are not allowed in housing
• Airfare is reimbursed upon arrival; flight itinerary must be submitted at least one week in advance
• New Employee Orientation occurs every Tuesday and Wednesday
• Returning travelers are not picked up from the airport
• Candidates must complete a math test on medication calculations upon arrival before working the floor
• Agency staff must arrive with documentation of required competencies including IV/central line care, fall precautions, age-specific competencies, abuse/neglect recognition, pain management, and blood transfusion protocols
