Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center requiring Siemens CT experience and MA CT licensure.

Details

• Level 1 trauma center setting with floating among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required
• Operates CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
• Uses Epic for charting
• On-call responsibilities and flexibility with shift coverage as needed

Requirements

• Current MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license required if applicable
• ARRT registration in CT required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year in CT preferred
• Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT equipment experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients under physical or emotional stress
• Analytical skills for imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy

Additional Information

• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images per departmental protocol, ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, and protective shielding
• Select appropriate imaging factors and perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
• Maintain effective communication with departmental and hospital personnel
• Calibrate and verify equipment operation, reporting malfunctions as needed
• Complete RIS documentation and transfer images to PACS
• Attend staff meetings and in-services, maintaining CEUs per state licensure and ARRT requirements
• May oversee and instruct technology students within the department
• Participate in research, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Transport and transfer patients per departmental guidelines
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted within 60 miles of Boston at a reduced rate
