Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center in New London, CT. The role requires 2+ years of hospital CT experience and proficiency with GE and Siemens equipment.

You will work a 4x10 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with call and weekend coverage as needed. The assignment includes floating between two hospital locations in CT and RI, requiring CT and RI licensure if applicable, and ARRT CT and RT certifications with BLS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hospital CT experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required.
• CT and RI licenses required if applicable.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Level I or II trauma center experience preferred.
• Experience with GE and Siemens equipment required.
• Image display and post-processing skills including 3D rendering and ROI measurement preferred.
• Contrast media preparation and venipuncture experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast.
• Perform CT procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainage, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and CT arthrography.
• Work in a Level III trauma center with night shift duties and on-call as needed.
• Float between two hospital locations in CT and RI; licensure in both states may be required.

• Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of Yale New Haven Health System
• 4x10 night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Call and weekend coverage required as needed by the department
• Will float between two hospital locations in CT and RI, requiring licensure in both states
• Uses GE Optima CT660 scanner
• EPIC charting system used
• Adult and pediatric outpatient, emergency department, and ICU work settings
• Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5-2 years of hospital CT experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
• CT and RI state licenses required if applicable
• Experience with both GE and Siemens equipment required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
