Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT (R) certification with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 109 staff beds
• CT Tech unit supporting adult acute care and outpatient patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required (Sat/Sun 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM)
• Block scheduling required with 1.0 FTE Sa/Su/Mon plus two additional 8-hour variable shifts
• Two consecutive days off guaranteed each week
• On-call required 2-4 nights per month
• No floating between units required
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba imaging equipment along with PACS
• Charts in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience required
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine imaging with and without contrast
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with musculoskeletal trauma and cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine imaging
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups from neonate to older adult
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Scrubs of any color permitted, with scrubs provided for OR/Critical Care/ED/Maternal Child units
• No parking fee at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of application
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
