Responsibilities

• Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Maintains patient safety and uses Cerner EMR for imaging data.
• Adheres to departmental protocols and radiology standards.
• Works night shift with patient load of approx. 3 scans per hour.
• Call required, 1 day per week.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Tech for a night shift travel assignment requiring ARRT (CT) certification and 1+ years of experience.

• CT Scanner department with 2 beds in unit
• Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging services
• Performs CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
• Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• Patient ratio of approximately 3 scans per hour per tech
• Night shift schedule, Wed/Thurs/Fri, 4:30p-6a
• Call required, 1 day per week
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in CT required
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with contrast and non-contrast studies and cross-sectional anatomy
• Knowledge of CT system processing and surgical/sterile procedures

Additional Information

• Provides timely diagnostic imaging services under direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
• Works under established departmental protocols for routine diagnostic CT procedures
• Max RTO of 1 week
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
