Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to perform CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy imaging procedures for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Details

• Day shift schedule with options of 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM, or 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Performs CT imaging along with general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
• Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to appropriate locations

Requirements

• ARRT registration as R.T.(R)(CT) or R.T.(R) required
• BLS certification required
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required in state of practice; license required if applicable
• Advanced CT certification required in OR and HI, preferred in CA
• Fluoroscopy license required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification required in CA if administering contrast materials via venipuncture
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty, with recent experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients from adolescence through geriatric age groups
• Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information
• Ensures integrity of patient medical images and data in accordance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
• Performs routine maintenance, calibration of equipment, and manages supply inventory
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
