Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality Tech (X-Ray & CT) with 1+ years of experience and ARRT certification in both X-Ray and CT for an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting performing both X-Ray and CT imaging
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday-Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirement
• Float to other locations within the Midlands Division as needed to meet critical facility needs
• Charting completed in Epic with PACS imaging via Sectra
• Performs imaging across Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU settings
• Procedures include abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies
• Specialized imaging includes coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and 3D rendering/post-processing techniques

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• SCRQSA (R) and SCRQSA (CT) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience requiredExperience with contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• Radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
• Must provide own radiation badge

Additional Information

• Perform multimodality imaging including X-Ray and CT across multiple patient care areas
• May be required to travel/float to sister facilities within the division as needed
• Scrub colors are black and teal
• Free parking provided with pass issued at start date
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• 60-mile radius rule applies for travel eligibility
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
