American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Summerville, SC at a Level I trauma teaching hospital. Dual ARRT registrations (R) and CT required, with 2+ years’ experience in CT imaging.

You will work a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, with potential float to nearby facilities and no on-call requirement. Epic EMR experience and PACS proficiency are essential for documenting procedures and coordinating care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience, including travel assignments.
• Dual ARRT registration (R) and ARRT CT required.
• BLS certification required.
• SC state license required if applicable.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Level I trauma experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, CTA studies and vascular CTA.
• Multimodality CT/X-Ray position within the Emergency/Urgent Care department.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring dual ARRT (R)(CT) registration and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Multimodality CT/X-Ray position within the Emergency and Urgent Care department
• Adult inpatient and emergency patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Possible float to nearby facilities as needed
• Performs imaging including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, coronary CTA, and vascular CTA studies
• Uses Siemens and PACS equipment
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including for first-time travelers
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) dual registration required
• BLS certification required
• SC state license required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Pediatric acute care and orthopedic exam experience in both modalities preferred
• Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement preferred
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and performing venipuncture
• Radiation safety and PPE/isolation precautions knowledge required

Additional Information

• Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status and 865 staffed beds
• Provides quality imaging and patient care across X-ray and CT modalities
• Responsible for explaining procedures to patients and ensuring competency in the exam being performed
• Produces diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Scrub color requirement: teal blue top with black bottoms
• Nights and weekends require a one-time $20 parking pass payment
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2-year experience requirement
• Previous MUSC staff, including PRN, must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be submitted at time of application for manager approval
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to meet radius requirements
