Job summary

Newsandtribune seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level I trauma center OR. The role requires CST certification and 3+ years of trauma or teaching hospital experience.

You will work a day shift, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, float within a 50-mile radius to support Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and Trauma. Illinois license and BLS are mandatory; international candidates must have SSN finalized.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in Level I/II trauma centers or large teaching hospitals.
Proficient in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular and Trauma.
BLS certification required.
CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT.
Illinois license required upon submission.
Two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years.
Proof of COVID vaccination required.
International candidates must have SSN/SSC finalized prior to submission.

Responsibilities

Level I Trauma Center operating room setting.
Support multiple surgical services including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and Trauma.
Day shift schedule, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Must float to other Cook facilities within 50 miles.
Uses Cerner charting system and follows Universal Protocol.
