Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp. seeks an experienced Field Engineer for a full-time traveling assignment supporting an Advanced Technology project, including Data Center market segments.

You will oversee field work, ensure compliance with codes and contract specs, and coordinate with crews and engineering leaders on site. You will review shop drawings, design specifications, and material data; monitor daily production, schedule, and costs; and provide technical input for work plans while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 1+ years of construction engineering experience required.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications, materials and applicable standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials and resources are available.
• Analyzes shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data for quality and contract compliance.
• Provides technical input for work plans and scheduling; identifies production risks to budget or schedule.
• Tracks project performance, documents activities, and manages cost coding with finance teams.
• Reviews and approves timecards; coordinates with payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Ensures quality assurance of specifications from start to finish; manages certificates and inspections.
• Plans field layout and marks utilities/lines; initiates permits as needed.
• Supports design drawing development and coordinates subcontractor work methods.
