Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Surgical Technologist for 4x10 hour shifts (6:30am–5:00pm) at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. The role requires Ortho & Total Joint experience and proficiency, with CST through NCCT being acceptable.

You may float to related market facilities (Oro Valley Hospital or Northwest Houghton) within 25 miles, with ample planning for location changes. Prepare the OR, maintain sterile field, and assist the surgeon by passing instruments and managing

• Surgical Technologist CST credential through NCCT is accepted.
• 3+ years experience preferred.
• Willing to float to the Main OR as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, including sterile field, supplies, and equipment.
• Pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintain and monitor sterile field and specimens; perform counts of sponges and supplies.

No call or weekends

No second shift so we use a number system to determine who stays with the later cases

Ortho & Total Joint Experience and Proficiency (3+) is Required.

TS‑C (Tech in Surgery - Certified) credential through NCCT - Accepted

Prefer at least 3 years experience.

Your primary site isNorthwest Medical Center,there may be a scenario that you will be floated to one of market facilities, (Oro Valley Hospital or Northwest Houghton ) all within a 25 miles radius from your primary site. Ample time will be provided with this change in location.

Surgical technologists prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies and solutions. During surgery, surgical technologists pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment. Surgical technologists simultaneously manage the sterile field and specimens. Surgical technologists perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects. Surgical technologists are certified following successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program and the national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
